1. The La Naval Procession in Intramuros
2. The La Naval Procession in Quezon City
Introduction
What is presently a simple procession of a Marian image more than 3 centuries old today was Old Manila’s Grandest Procession in its pre-war heydays in Intramuros, and the reason for the establishment of the procession was purely historical.

This is basically what it looks from the inside BEFORE the procession. Masses are held continuously until the actual procession at around noon. It might not be as jam-packed as the Black Nazarene procession, but this is definitely more peaceful than that.
My dad started this tradition with us while we were very young. after the three of us finally experienced our respective first communions, we attend this annually. Of course there were those “rebel” stages that we chose not to come, but our parents never forced us. In the end, we always wanted to go with them.
It was one of our small family bonding moments that we always have each year. Besides, it always comes after the birthday of Laurice (the “wicked” daughter after me), so we always celebrated it after.
